Q:Does the filter disignate the correct flow for the gas? Which way does it flow? Apparantly this is part of the "question". (Instructions) Also, is this filter appropriate for my boat? It is a 1978 Sanger, with a 427cid engine. The carburator is a 750cfm Demon. Thank You,

A:Yes, there are arrows cast into the housing that indicate fuel flow direction. With 5 ports, 2 are used and 3 are capped.. Fuel can enter filter and exit on the same side or it can through the filter housing right to left or left to right, depending on which of the inlet or outlet holes are used. I have been using this filter on an olds 455 cid for 2 years with excellent results.Answered on 8/18/2013 by Mcguyver from Ogden, Utah

A:It is very simple, and you are exactly right. Just snip your line that goes to your engine and connect both ends of the snipped fuel line to the in and out and plug the other ports that you are not using. You are exactly right!Answered on 12/23/2009 by Justin from Overton's Technician

Q:Do you know what micron this filter is rated at?
And what are the 3 plugs for?Asked on 6/15/2009 by Greg - G-money from oklahoma city, OK.
A:The micron rating for this filter is 20. Regarding the 3 plugs, 2 are for the unused ports (2 ports will be taken up with a fuel line in and a fuel line out), and 1 is extra in case one of the other two is lost.Answered on 6/16/2009 by Matt from Overtons
A:The third plug is not an extra. There is a port angled off one of the out ports to change the angle of the fuel line if needed. If you have only one line in and one out, there will be three holes you need to plug.Answered on 5/21/2010 by Keith from New Hampshire
