Comments about Frabill® Aqua-Life® Bait Station, 6-Gallon:
I purchased my first bucket to keep my minnows alive while at my cabin. This one worked for 1 month before the pump failed. I brought it back for an exchange and within 2 months the pump failed again. On both units I purchased the 110 wall plug so I didn't have to keep replacing the batteries. On both units this worked well for a while and then the bucket quit running utilizing the 110 wall unit. It still ran on batteries at that point but then...what's the point. I won't buy another unit and would recommend that you don't

Comments about Frabill® Aqua-Life® Bait Station, 6-Gallon:
I purchased 2 of the aqualife buckets for keeping shrimp alive, I end up replace the lid/pumps every trip to the coast. The pumps are not watertight, they fail after just a few days of use, and I can only purchase parts from frabill, which are expensive. The buckets work great, when they are working, but I am getting tired of ordering new pumps. It would also help if a 110 volt adapter came with them......

Comments about Frabill® Aqua-Life® Bait Station, 6-Gallon:
I purchased this minnow bucket from Gander Mountain and within the first few months the air pump failed. I took it back and exchanged it for a new one. After a while it's pump also failed. They used TR3 security screws to close the air pump compartment so you can't repair the air pump without buying a special security screw driver which most hardware stores don't have. So I am stuck with a nice looking minnow bucket who's lid will not pump air. I replace the lid with another plastic lid and installed my own portable battery operated air pump.
Water or something must cause the air pumps inside the lid to fail. They are suppose to be sealed but something is making them fail.
I buy my minnows by 1/4 or 1/2 lb and have to nurse them for a few weeks if I don't fish everyday. So I ran the air pump a lot to keep the minnows alive. The pump worked great for a short while and if they can fix this problem I'd give the minnow bucket a 6 Star rating. I like it's insulation and there is a light in the lid, but that failed as well. Maybe there is an electrical problem inside the lid? I love the bucket as it's big and holds lots of water. I changed the water in my bucket every day or at least every other day to keep the minnows alive. Minnows can last for several weeks if you change the water out every day.

Being taller then most, 5 gallons pales don't cut it for me. Makes my knees hurt over time. I purchased two of these one for me and one for my Dad who is 2 inches taller then I. He loves it as do I. Perfect height for taller guys who don't want painful knees while they enjoy fishing in the winter. Awesome product.
