Tested and verified to protect electronic media including memory sticks, CDs, DVDs and external hard drives, as well as documents, files, electronics, and other valuables. Waterproof even when fully submerged. Built-in digital key pad entry system with dustproof cover and manual override key. Concealed hinges are designed to resist prying.       I bought this safe for my husband after searching for a fireproof, waterproof handgun safe. This is what came up on the site. Despite the reviews that this is great for weapons, the instructions with the safe make it clear that it is NOT for handguns as it doesn't prevent moisture. Called customer service and she was incredibly rude about it. Finally sent a return label, and we purchased another safe that IS for handguns. That's not to say that this safe is not a good one for important documents, etc, that's just not what we bought it for.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Like most safes, I should have gotten this one size larger... It barely fits an 8.5 x ll document. Quality and finish are ok and to be expected for something in this price range.

                This is a great safe! I have one of these to keep my important papers, SS Cards and hand gun in it. I really like the that I don't have to worry about my valuables getting stolen, ruined, burned or lost, should there be a fire, flood or a break in. My wife also loves the fact that our kids can't get into it too. Great safe for [$], hard to find a better deal!!

                  If there is a shelf in the safe, can it be removed to make the space completely open? I would like to place a laptop inside(if I purchase)....it would have to be placed at an angle and would require the shelf to be removed. Thanks for any clarifications about the interior size.
