Q:What is boat-tail?Asked on 4/5/2011 by Anonymous
A:Its the shape of the actual bullet its self. It tapers off at the back end so it will fly better and its more arrow dynamic. It is supposed to make it more accurate at longer distance.Answered on 2/22/2012 by BIGN from Whiteland IN
A:boat-tail refers to the shape of the bullet at the base thats the part inside the shell casing. With a boattail bullet there is a taper at that end giving the bullet a higher BC which is most easily put better aerodynamics so you get less resistance. This means you get less drop over a distance then a bullet that has straight walls down to the base.Answered on 4/5/2012 by hintz1987 from wisconsin rapids, wi
