[...] Brass is clean, rounds shoot clean, lubricant is just right. No misfires in 2100 rounds (4 boxes). I fired those rounds in a Ruger 10/22, Ruger Mk III, Beretta Neos, and a S&W 617 without a failure. The Bulk Box isn't all that great to reload from but they are all the same in that respect.

Federal champion 525s were my favorite low-cost reliable practice/plinking ammo for years; however I've recently been seeing more and more duds and fliers (I have 6 22lr guns, so it's not just the gun). This is after I've purchased maybe 50 boxes over the past year.
The sudden decline in quality appears to be across different batches as well. Perhaps cost-cutting on the primers? Most will fire after loading the dud and striking on the opposite side of the rim; however I've had a few just plain duds. Some others appeared to sound as if the powder load wasn't correct (too little) when firing.
I'd say I was getting as bad as 1 dud and 1 flier out of 20 for a few boxes. Completely unacceptable to me and I'd rather pay more for more reliable ammo which will save me the trouble of stopping, unloading the dud, reloading and refiring.

Comments about Federal Premium 22 LR Champion Ammunition:
Recently purchased our first rifle (semi-automatic .22). The Federal Ammo is perfect for target practice and allows us opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the new gun without breaking the bank. The service from Gandermountain was superb! Delivery was professional and in a timely manner. Only sorry that they are currently out of stock - tried ordering again this weekend and will try again later.

Comments about Federal Premium 22 LR Champion Ammunition:
This ammo is accurate, but I have an occasional jam from from my semi-auto's. Winchester and CCI ammo cycles flawlessly. It is value priced and it shows in the quality of the manufacturing process. Don't use this ammo to hunt with. It's okay just for plinking and target practice.

Very good plinking ammo. No misfires yet in 4 bricks' worth (over 2000 rounds). Very, very economical as well. Highly recommend for target shooting/plinking and having fun.

Comments about Federal Premium 22 LR Champion Ammunition:
Dollar for dollar you will not find better .22 ammunition. You can plink all day without breaking the bank! Fires reliably and is relatively clean. I'll definitely be buying more when Gander Mountain restocks their warehouse.
