Also known as the SAFN-49, the Belgian-designed FN-49 was known as one of the most reliable semi-automatic rifles of its era. The FN-49 is a gas-operated, semi-automatic, magazine-fed rifle that utlizes a short-piston stroke gas drive, with a gas camber and a gas piston-tappet located above the barrel. While England and the United States only tested the FN-49 and never implemented it for official use, it was used by the militaries of Argentina, Belgium, the Belgian Congo, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Luxembourg, and Venezuela. This Egyptian-manufactured rifle features a post front sight, an aperture rear sight, and a 2-position safety. Its stock and bore are in very good condition and its bore is in good condition.
