evolved_habitats Deer Cane Mix attracts deer by releasing a mineral vapor trail. Use the mix concentrate to establish your site, then moisture will cause the minerals to keep reacting and attracting deer. Deer will lick, paw, and gnaw to try to get the minerals out. Bucks will try to protect their site by rubbing, scraping, and rolling in the mineral site to mark it as their own, which will attract even more deer. For use all year long.

    I had my camera out for months along a heavily used trail and got many pictures of does with fawns and a few small bucks. After putting out the Deer Cane, it attracted a large eight and nine point buck that I had never seen on the property. They regulary visited the site and now the site is about 3-4 inches deep.

    I put this product out in the middle of June and the deer have yet to begin to dig at it. I put a different product out at the same time in the same general area and they already have a 4" hole dug. I have a trail camera set up right on the spot and the deer just pass right on by never harldy ever stoping to feed at the area..very disappointing, i know of other family memebers that have used this product and they too have had no luck with it

        Put this mixture in front of my game camera that wasn't getting to much action and within a week was getting considerable more deer to this location.

        Satisfied with the product but unsure if it works better than the other mineral blocks and mixtures that I have used in the past so couldn't give it a 5 star.

        The 6.5 lb. bag of Deer Cane makes two large nutrient areas. The trail cam I have on one area records deer hanging around up to an hour. It is pre-rut and only does have shown up on the cam. The trail cam has been used twice over a two week period and deer started to visit the Deer Cane area immediately the same day the area was created. The product was used in wet weather and was not mixed with water. It works great. I look forward to the rut, when the bucks start chasing the does to this Deer Cane area. Check out the attached video to see the deer going to the obvious Deer Cane area.

                    Instead of mixing, I have found it very successful to sprinkle it very lightly on the area to be visited. Hough marks and the continuing deepening hole tell me it is being visited, as well as the images on my trail cameras.
