Comments about European American Armory EAA Sarsilmaz B6P Compact Handgun:

In brief: Very high quality for a low price, Very accurate, Great bargain, buy one!
Details: Based on a CZ75C, but is not a true clone. Size and general outlines are similar enough that my leather CZ holster fits well, my kydex works- but leaves a gap alongside the frame. There are holsters specific to this gun avalible. Magizines for a CZ75 do not fit due to floor plate shape. Pistol comes with one Mag, though I found OEM on line, just have to look a bit. The CZ and other clones have a barrel bushing, the SAR does not, but the barrel lockup is very tight. This combined with the slide in frame CZ design makes "MY" SAR very accurate with tight groups. The sights are three dot, but slightly larger and better defined than on my CZ or other clones. The larger dot and wider front blade makes sight alignment easier, and on "MY" gun they were dead on! I mean POA =POI and blowing the X ring red dot from the target was easy at 7, 10, and 15 yards. Note: The front sight is attached differently than on CZ or true clones, having a vertical pin vs a horizontal retaining pin, so I am unaware of replacement night sights at this time. From the box I cleaned and lubed the gun, spent an evening dry firing with snap caps to "loosen up" the trigger, and exercising the safety which is now crisp and positive, not too stiff, no problem with thumb on/off. The magizines hold 13 rounds, but it took about four times of stuffing it full, then shooting to get the follower to not hang up slightly which caused three hang ups on the second shot. Once the mags were broken in (100 rnds) the pistol was flawless with both 115 and 124 grain cheapo rounds. One observation on the mag design, during "Speed reload" the floor plate can (And did on a couple occasions) pinch the heel of the gripping hand as the new mag slams home. I view this as a training issue, but it did hurt. Did I mention accuracy? This pistol outshot the two similar compact pistols (using same brand ammo) that cost me over twice as much! No sight adjustment or "Kentucky windage" involved. Laser like accuracy from the factory. The fit and finish of the chromed barrel, the polished feed ramp, and the muzzle crowning are very well done and contribute to accuracy I am sure. The very light (3.8 lb) single action trigger pull is smooth and breaks crisply. The double action is heavier, but smooth up to the very break where mine had a slight catch which threw my shots if not careful, but smoothed out considerably within 300 rounds and was not a problem. I have similar sized (purpose) pistols from the mainstream manufactures costing twice to four times as much, and this budget buy holds its own. My recommendation is to buy it, buy one before the price goes up, as this gun rates a higher price.

Comments about European American Armory EAA Sarsilmaz B6P Compact Handgun:

I did a lot of research before buying this gun and I have to say for the combination of price and quality and all around usefulness, I would put this gun up against many of the "Big Names" and it will beat them and leave some $$ to go and shoot too. To correct the other review the importer is EAA the gun itself is made by Sar Arms out of Turkey. This is the company that supplies the Turkish military. Back to the gun, as I stated this is called a compact and it is to a degree, but I would not call this easily used as a ccw gun. So really look at it more as a almost full sized gun with a slightly smaller grip. It shoots beautifully and accurate. As for the slide being inside the frame, that is exactly how the CZ-75 was made (and this was modeled after that). What that does do is make it a bit harder to rack, but by no means difficult, however it makes it very accurate. As a plus the machining has to be top notch to get this combination to work. Tear down is very easy and the parts quality are also top tier, I can not find any machining marks that would suggest fast and sloppy work. Overall, if you are in the market for a great 9mm that will do everything above expectations and as a plus save you some $, check these out. If you want the full sized (17+1)or the compact (13+1)you'll be happy. I have the compact and as a heads up the EAA Witness 13 round mag will fit this so you can find extras.

Comments about European American Armory EAA Sarsilmaz B6P Compact Handgun:

For those that don't know - this is a 9mm compact copy of a CZ-75, the B6P compact has a 3.8" steel barrel. This firearm is lightweight because of the polymer frame. The gun was manufactured in Turkey by a company called 'EAA' and distributed in the U.S. out of Florida by another company called 'SAR Arms'. EAA has been making firearms for 130+ years, and from what I can tell, they should continue to do so.

This was my first personal handgun purchase at the age of 21. I've grown up around guns my whole life, shooting my dad's .40 plenty in the past few years. After doing research on the quality and any concerns - I decided to buy this handgun. The price for a 9mm handgun is nearly unbeatable.

The first thing you'll notice is the size and weight. It is big for a compact, arguably not so compact. I can't see anyone using this as a CCW. It is also fairly light, the frame isn't metal, but the slide is.

Speaking of the slide - the reason I gave this gun 4/5 stars is that the slide fits INSIDE the body/frame, not on top as with most other handguns. While this does give the gun a nice compact feel, it is considerably more difficult to rack the slide. You just can't seem to get a great grip on it because the slide is inside, meaning there is less slide vertically to grip. Another concern was taking the weapon apart - the process is straight-forward, but takes some muscle to do. Lastly, for *some* people, it may have a lot of distributor/maker logos along the body which can be a turn off for some. I personally don't find that it detracts from the gun though.

Other than those concerns, I love everything else about the gun and I'm very happy with the purchase. After shooting and cleaning it a few times, racking the slide became easier. Also, once you learn the tear down procedure for taking the gun apart, it doesn't become much of an issue.
