Q:How deep (dimension from flange to outside) is the receiver? I'm looking to mount it in an aluminum row boat without a drain.
ThanksAsked on 7/7/2011 by Anonymous from upstate NY
A:Its about 1 3/4 inches. This is made more for a fiberglass boat & I'm not sure how secure it would be with aluminum. If you drilled a hole about 5/8 inch, you might get a secure seal if you popped(more like "forced")this into that. Remove the plug, don't be afraid to use a rubber mallet to secure it in the hole, then replace the plug.Answered on 6/11/2012 by Yours423 from Lawrenceburg, KY

Q:I have a 1990 bass tracker pontoon that I would like to put drain plugs into. Would this work for that purpose? How is the plug secured to the pontoon itself?Asked on 2/10/2010 by Anonymous
A:This item has a barbed back that you can attach a hose to and the flange on the front has holes that you can screw self-tapping screws into to secure it into the hole that you drilled for the product, and the drain plug will cap off the hole.Answered on 2/16/2010 by Tech from Overton's
