I have a 22ft bay boat that I did not want to add a swim platform to. However I did need something to help get in and out of the boat so a decided to try a hook ladder. I was very happy with the quality of this ladder and it arrived ahead of schedule from Overton's. It's stable, light weight and easy to use. The only down side is it may be tough to store on smaller boats.

Comments about Dotline Gunwale Hook Ladder, 3-Step:

Using this ladder because the one we had on our Pontoon boat the hinges rusted and the bottom half fell off. This we just slide over where the old one is and it rest on the pontoon and works great. We usually take it off when we're done using it but a couple times we have forgotten and after the ride home it is still in tack. Very Pleased with this product.

Comments about Dotline Gunwale Hook Ladder, 3-Step:

I got this for my fishing/water skiing boat. It does not have any room on the stern for a ladder so this works great for side loading. The ladder is very light considering all the weight it can handle. The protective rubber coating on the hook part that contacts the boat could be thicker. I just drape a towel over the side of the boat to further protect it. Overall, great product for the money!

There is no additional hardware to mount it as this is a temporary use ladder, not a permanent mount. These can be used on pontoons
