      we live on a 32 mile long lake with a southern exposure. The waves at our dock can reach 3' at times. The whips securely hold the boat away from the dock and allow it to float over the waves without peril. I would recommend them to anyone with a small recreational boat - mine is 18' long - on a lake or river with lots of waves either wind driven or boat generated.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        I sold my lift after trying the Whips. No stress on my 19' and 175hp. The Whip is not only perfect to protect my boat 24/7, but I put in an additional set for visitors. All are relieved to have 'damage-free moorage'.
