These lights are great for outlining a walkway. Purchased 40+ lights for long walkway (120', two rows) and displayed for Tyler Parade of Homes. Visitors loved the look and wanted to know where we got them (I should charge Overton's a commission).Only drawback is some (3 to 5) of the lights didn't work, [...]. I would suggest that you leave lights out for a couple of days before installing to make sure they work properly.

Comments about Dockmate Pro Solar Dock Lite, each:

I purchased four of these early this season and installed them on my dock about six weeks ago. The first four worked very well and I ordered and received four more that I plan to install soon.

Except for the slightly confusing directions to leave the units in the sun for 24 hours before installing (perhaps in Alaska on June 21st), they are very simple. I pulled them out of the box, removed the clear plastic that covers the solar cell and screwed them to the dock.

When the sun goes down they glow softly and mark the edges of the dock. They do not light up the dock. They are just to let people know where the edges are so they don't run into (or fall of) the dock. They do this well. I haven't watched them all night, but I have seen them on during the wee hours of the morning. They seem to do well during summer months when the number of daylight hours exceed night hours.

Comments about Dockmate Pro Solar Dock Lite, each:

Very well made and low profile keeps it out of the way. The only trick when you charge for the first time is to keep in the sun all day and under a light that night(in a closet or such) then back in the sun the next day. You are then ready for very reliable lighting each and every night.

My wife and I love entertaining at our lake house. After dinner we typically take our guests for a boat ride around the lake often returning at dusk or after dark. That's when the Pro Dock Lites do their magic by marking a safe pathway off the dock and on to the lawn. It's a handsome design that looks and acts very smart.

Can this product be submerged? I was thinking of using them to mark the corners of my jet ski lift. They would be submerged for short periods of time. 10-15 minutes.

I would not advise that. I think the product would fail if it actually were to be submerged.

well I would think it may work as they are outdoors and in the rain if its raining.....it would be worth a try?
