Comments about Dockmate Mooring Buoys, 15" dia.:
Floats a large heavy chain very well. My mooring is in about 15' of water and my previous mooring balls barely float above the surface. The blue stripe on this one is well above the surface and is easily visible from a distance.

Comments about Dockmate Mooring Buoys, 15" dia.:
When water is lowered I can no longer keep boat at dock so I have to moor offshore. Live on a manmade lake that regulates the water and gets low at the end of summer

Comments about Dockmate Mooring Buoys, 15" dia.:
My family cottage pumps lake water for everything but to drink. We have been looking for a buoy like this for the past couple of years. I can't attest to using as a mooring buoy but we are using it to support a foot valve in the lake water and the valve will rise and fall with the ever changing water levels. It is well made and durable, will be ordering another for a 2nd application.

Holds a large chain easily. The metal fittings last into the second decade, the buoy last longer (except for the blue stripe. My first buoy from this manufacturer lasted 20 summers.
