      I am planning on building a dock on our pond. The dock deminsions will be 10'x12', made of pressure treated 2'x6's. The dock will be surfaced with Trex type 1"x6" boards. How do I determine the size and amount of Dockmate Float Drum(s) that I will need? Also, if the pond freezes in winter will I need to remove the dock from the pond?

      What are the actual dimensions of the float drums? Are the "two-feet-wide" drums sized to fit inside of wooden joists set at two feet on center (i.e., the space between the joists is 1.875 feet) or is the outside width dimension literally 2 feet?
