Product DescriptionDockmate Mooring Whips are an excellent way to protect your boat or watercraft from damage caused by wind or high wake. These whips provide a "safety zone" between dock and boat with a unique "spring action" that keeps your boat away from the dock. The large diameter solid fiberglass rods are wrapped with cross-wound layers of fiber for superior strength and flexibility. The durable solid cast-aluminum base has a molded-in cleat and ring to easily fasten your lines. A functional roller tip on the whip in addition to a unique tensioner allow easy one-hand operation. All Dockmate Mooring Whips come as a pair with all necessary lines and hardware to complete installation. Note that some docking conditions may be too rough for this type of system. 3-year warranty.

Q:Can these be mounted to an aluminum dock? Would it be the same installation? Or a different method or hardware required???Asked on 12/16/2013 by cage5516 from Canada
A:The installation process would be the same but you might want to consider using a carriage bolt instead of the lag bolts that are supplied with the package. Q:How would these work with a 16 foot catamaran?Asked on 6/14/2009 by Anonymous
A:Should work fine as long as you have the proper attachment points and are within the correct weight capacities listed.Answered on 6/16/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
A:As long as you have cleats on the Cat that are at least 3/4 the distance apart from the total lenghth, it should work fine.Answered on 7/5/2009 by Woogs56 from Blairsville, GA
A:They would work fine. I have a friend on the lake using these same whips on a 23 foot catamaran. He's used them the last two summers and never has had a problem. He also bolted them through his dock instead of using the wood screws they provided.Answered on 8/20/2009 by Ambassador of Brewing from Lake Cedar Creek, TX
Q:How about this rig for docking a 22' pontoon boat?Asked on 4/1/2009 by Freddie the Farmboy from Lake Choctaw
A:I would at least recommend item 74608. The extra length will allow for the system to work properly, if not you will constantly adjusting the mooring whips due to wake/wind.Answered on 4/2/2009 by Matt from Gander Tech
