        Method of quick release and securing is designed poorly although overall design had promise. Too much slop, 1/4 inch, at each securing pin, hence the 5 step, 4" steps, was very loose and seemed unsecure. This product was returned.

        The quick release pins are attached by thin steel wires. This is a potential hazard for small children if they caught a toe in the wire jumping from dock. Using the pins without the wire (risks loosing pin) or replacing wire with thicker nylon cord would solve this issue. Not a problem for older children or adults.

              the ladder we ordered with this jammed while transporting and had to be beaten with a hammer to use it. we never even got a chance to try this product. very disapointed with the quality of the products we recieved. a new ladder and we had to fight it. never got a review form for that ladder.

              Loose Fitting Brackets

                  Just so you are aware, these brackets cause the ladder to mount very loose. The ladder actually tilts about a quarter inch back on the brackets and causes the ladder to rock back and forth with the waves. I'm going to try shimming these with washers to see if it will help. If not, then I may have a nut plate welded up instead. One nice thing is the brackets do shift the bolts back further on the dock which significantly helped with my installation. But I could've accomplished the same thing by drilling new holes in the ladder.
