The design fits my boat(G3 pontoon)great with bracket B. I had a concern with the strap easily being removed either by vibration, wind, or stolen by others. So I added tie wraps to help secure at top. I think the double security is needed, because since they are over the rail, you will never notice if they fall off. I had this happen before with a similar type. By the time i realized the bumper had fell off, we were miles away and it was too late. They are too expensive to depend on that one strap that is very easy to remove. I recommend these bumpers, but would consider placing extra security.

We permanently installed metal brackets using alternate instructions.
Also bought fender adjusters to "lock" on either side of rail clamp because clamps tended to come loose too easily. This worked well the first couple of times out but with boat loaded (and lower in the water), fenders popped off without warning.
Best use is dockside only; do not try to move in open water with fenders still on boat!
Loved product but very disappointed in flimsy clamps which ultimately lost fenders. Reducing my score from 5.0 to 3.5 due to faulty clamp design.

Comments about Dock Edge Standard Toon Fender:
Installed easily but had to use a self tapping screw to secure to rail of my pontoon. Now it's great even in open water and at speed. What I like most is that even is a higher wake comes to my dock the fenders always protect my boat.

Comments about Dock Edge Standard Toon Fender:
Fantastic, reliable protection for our pontoon boat. We had trouble keeping fenders secured using easy-install method. Once we screwed the small bracket to underside of bottom rail (using alternate installation instructions), the fenders worked beautifully. ALSO, downward pull tends to make top clamp pop off rail. We purchased additional Pontoon Rail Fender Adjusters and found that clipping one on each side of top clamp holds beautifully!

Q:
What width railing/panels with this fender (ie. the top hook) fit over? My railings are 1.5" wide and the ToonMate Ultimate Fender would NOT fit over the railing.Asked on 7/7/2012 by David from Gainesville, GA0 answers
Q:
HOW FAR APART SHOULD YOU PUT THEM ON THE PONTOONAsked on 3/7/2011 by JO from MS1 answer
A:
I like to set them at 8ft apart, and tie the our boats tight together less movement, when ever tied too docks or to other boats.
These seem too be very well made.I have used mine for whole season Going out every weekend. They do the jobAnswered on 3/15/2012 by Diatom from Rock Island,IL

hook-and-loop attachment is also adjustable for additional protection. Aluminum hook "stops" the fender from sliding on the rub railAnswered on 9/21/2009 by Bryant C from Tech Department
Q:
We have a pontoon boat and 2 jet skiis...we anchor the boat and get on and off the jet skiis. We have dented the toons from hitting them with the jet skiis. Will this be low enough to work as a bumper on the toon....3 or 4 of them down the side of the boat to protect the toon??? Also, do you have any suggestions to keep the skiis with the boat while not in use and everyone on the boat. We've tried ropes but not very successfully.Asked on 6/23/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
I don't think this will provide protection low enough on the toons given where the jet ski rub rail will hit. Please see item 87206 which is designed to protect the toons. You can also try item 87168 and tie it off to the pontoon railing so it hangs down to the water level.
If you use 87168 you could possible tie one ski off on each side of the boat and let them rest against the rafting fenders.Answered on 6/24/2009 by Michael from Overtons
