      I use this bumper to guard and protect my stern drive when putting my boat on my boat lift. It's heavy duty and a soft rubber compound that keeps my stern drive from hitting the lifts metal frame very hard. This is the second one I purchased after I bought another boat lift.

            I had called about the product be3fore ordering then ask the same thing when I ordered. Are screws/bolts provided - no one knew. Some adds specifically say no hardware so what is one to know. It was better in the long run that bolts were not included as each instillation would be different but it would have been good to know up front what I would get.

            The first time the boat "bumped" the bumper, it ripped off the dock and was lost in the water. I installed 12 and lost 2 the first day. I purchased them not because of price, but I needed this size. Unfornately, cheap price equal cheap quality.

                I was worried when I ordered this bumper. But I was pleasntly surprised when I got it. It was heavy duty and well made. I mounted it to my boat lift frame so that when the boat is pulled in to the boat slip and over the lift you don't damage the stern drive if you pull to far forward and hit the lift frame. This will allow the stern drive to bump up against the bumper rather than having metal to metal contact. While I may know what the position of the boat should be other family members and friends are not.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
