I used this light to replace the existing incondesent fixtures. It fit perfectly in place of the other fixture. I wish it had a rubber gasket between the boat and the light.

            Hello Fire32emtl,

The ITC Courtesy Light requires a cutout that is 2" in diameter and it will require at least 1" of clearance in the back of the light.

I am attaching the specs from ITC: http://itc-marine.com/product/led-cluster-courtesy-light-.

            Thank you,
            Steve

What is the equivalent wattage to a halogen light?

Can the light be used in a boat cockpit exposed to weather?

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

This courtesy light uses half a watt of power. Equilivent halogen lights could use anywhere between 5 and 10 watts to produce the same amount of lumens. LED lights will always use less wattage because there is no filiament or gasses used to produce the light. LEDs are light emitting diodes using trace amounts of electricity to power the lights.
