looking for easy to pull on boat cover. Found that wind and rain are a problem with lightweight cover. Use of Tarphooks solved the wind problem. I ordered more hooks hoping the extra weights would help keep rain from puddling and pouring into boat. Success with spring shower.

We bought these to be able to use our winter boat cover while the boat is in the water for the summer. The idea is good - but these hooks are flimsy and a full 2 liter bottle will stretch out the hooks - some to the point of deforming the hook. I went to a 1/2 to 3/4 full bottle and they still stretch a little but do not unhook. Most do not form a solid seal on the 2 liter bottle so if you fill with water - it will leak if bottle isn't upright. Beefing up these hooks would make this a much better product and allow them to do what they now advertise they CAN do.

    Product works great, but the plastic retainer clip are poorly constructed. Suggestion, cut the small ring from the platic bottles where the caps were before threading the hooks ... they will seat fruther into the hooks for a better hold.

      It is best, especially with 2-liter bottles, to remove the plastic ring that stays on the bottle after you take off the bottle cap. This allows the tarp hook to screw onto the bottle farther for better securing.
