I bought these boots because I needed a durable and warm pair of hunting boots for Illinois weather. I wear a size 8 in womens (size 6 in mens/boys) but I can also wear a 7 1/2 womens in very few select shoe brands. I purchased a size 8 and they fit perfect. There is about a little less than 1/2 inch of extra toe space give or take, which will come in handy with thicker socks, but I think they fit true to the size. I'd highly recommend getting your normal shoe size. My foot is fairly average when it comes to width and the width on the boots fits fine. So if you have a wider than average foot, these may be a bit narrow, but could be broken into eventually, so take that into consideration. The arches in my feet are high compared to the average foot, but like I said, these boots are comfy and don't bother my feet at all. The leather feels and looks durable, and I like the fact that it has the black rubber-like material on the toes that will help to prevent scuffing/staining. They do feel warm and I have worn them a few times (not hunting just yet) around the yard and town in the snow without my feet going cold or wet. Hopefully under longer cold conditions my feet won't sweat like they normally do because of the 1000g thinsulate. But, I do highly recommend these boots because they look great (picture doesn't do them justice) and feel comfortable/durable. Also, for boots, I think they are pretty light weight in comparison to my military boots which is a plus. They are a bit stiff out of the box, but in a few weeks I am sure they will be broken into. I will be using them during winter especially in the snow and for hunting as well to get my money's worth out of them :) They do look good w/ jeans :) They have great traction to them which is a must up here, and I am proud to say I haven't fell on ice yet while wearing them!! :) Anyways, even at this price, I am still glad I got these boots because I feel they were worth every dollar!!
