Comments about Danner Mens 453 GoreTEX 5.5" Hiking Boot:

I'm an old guy doing canyoneering. Carry ropes and plenty of gear. Also backpacking. Boots get wet and are on cross country terraine. After 1.5 years the left footbed broke down. I cannot bear the pain to wear them. Not only for hiking but breakdown is so complete that even office use is out of the question. Left Foot between heel and arch is a break that feels like a definite ridge. Also a crease between arch and ball. Even Dr Scholls cannot help them. Didn't get my money's worth out of this model.
