Featuring everything from the Digigear digital gear system, to the black chrome one-touch folding handle, Daiwa Regal XiA Spinning Reels have been designed for optimum performance, durability and angler convenience. Gives anglers an incredible 10 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing for tremendous smoothness and long life. Features infinite anti-reverse, eliminating handle back play for rock solid hook sets. ABS design spools are machined from aircraft grade aluminum and have a maximized core diameter and reversed taper for less line friction for more distance and no dead line at the bottom of the spool. Fill it with line right up to the edge of the spool lip without fear of tangles. Digital gear design ensures a perfect mesh between ultra-tough, surface treated alloy drive gearing and marine bronze pinion gearing for optimized speed, power and durability.

BailSafe locks the bail open on the outcast. Lifetime bail spring ensures your bail will click over; every time. Twist BusterII line roller helps eliminate line twist which leads to tangles. Advanced Locomotive Levelwind lays the line on the spool evenly for more casting distance. Gryo Spin balanced rotor reduces wobble. Digigear digital gears for smooth cranking performance. One-touch folding handle. Each reel includes a spare aluminum spool.

            I used this reel all last season with tons of success. From small perch to a rather chunky Northern, this reel brought them all home. It's quiet, smooth, and reliable. I fished several lakes and loads of time on the Mississippi with this little, yet powerful reel. I plan on purchasing a Shimano Stradic CI4 as my backup, but will still use this as my primary. I look forward to another exciting season with this excellent reel.
