Comments about Daiwa Laguna Baitcaster Reel and Rod Combo, MH 7 1-piece rod:

I have used this rod to pitch, casting, frog, crank, and finesse. It's an excellent rod and reel combo for the price but I am disappointed at the rod. This rod is supposed to be a medium heavy xf. However, it feels more like a medium action moderate tip. It could be a bit stiffer for a medium heavy. This rod excels at casting and finesse fishing but does poorly at frogs and pitching. Still a great buy for the price.

Comments about Daiwa Laguna Baitcaster Reel and Rod Combo, MH 7 1-piece rod:

This is a nice combo for the price. It casts smooth, holds a pretty heavy line and is easy to operate if you haven't baitcasted much. To the review that says it tangles line, it really doesn't as long as you set up the backlash control to a light or moderate setting(for beginners to baitcasting), but I'm fairly confident with a little more practice that won't even be necessary.
