Researched very briefly and quite honestly, I chose the Benjamin simply because I could get a decent price right of the shelf at my local store. There were three air guns that would have suited my needs. The Benjamin got the nod because of immediate availability. I'm not at all disappointed in the good fortune that tossed this little tool in my hands.

Did the Youtube thing to sort what seemed to be the best ammo for this gun and went with Crosman Premier Dome and also ordered some JSB Match Jumbo Heavies 18.1g.

First day right out of the box with the Crosman pellets I sighted the scope at 15 yards and was hitting 1.5 inch groups within 10 rounds. The next five targets were all 5 shots within the size of a quarter. My daughter then gave it a go.

She has never fired a pellet gun or any rifle for that matter. Shotguns have been her only previous experience. After a quick lesson on how to lightly hold the rifle and squeeze a two step trigger she was hitting 1.5 inch 5 shot groups at 15 yards by her third target.

Call me impressed. Have no idea how the gun will hold up over time, but this was ridiculous. No break in, no time spent with the firearm, no time sorting the best ammo. Open the box, assemble, sight in and reasonable accuracy in minutes. Who'd a thunk it?

It's not a PCP so don't go thinking you're going to drop squirrels at 75 yards. It's solid, works well and doesn't break the bank.

I've had my rifle for a month or so, now, and I really enjoy it. It has a nice fit and finish; everything snug and smooth (I have the wood stock version.). It's a bit heavy, but it comes with fittings for a shoulder strap, so that evens out, for me. I love that it has a Picatinny rail; I put a Leaper's Accushot 4-12 scope on it. The bundled scope doesn't have an adjustable objective (AO) lens, so it's not much use to me (That's why it gets 4 stars, not 5). A choice of scopes (or of no scope) would have been very much nicer. Cocking is easier than on my Benji Titan NP .177, and shooting is even quieter than the Titan, so the integral suppressor actually works. There is some recoil to it, but the weight of the rifle absorbs a lot of that, I think. Accuracy is as good as the Titan; I'm getting one inch groups at 23 yards, using RWS Meisterkugeln 14 grain. That same pellet chronographs at 820 FPS, so I'd bet it would push a lighter pellet at the advertised speed of 900 FPS. However, that's only 20.91 ft/lbs, so I don't know where they got the 26 ft/lbs advertised muzzle energy. As it turns out, though, that is plenty of energy to take squirrels! Head shots go right through. Anyway, the best thing about this rifle is the trigger! I was leery at first, since it has a plastic housing, but after shooting it I love it! The first stage has a very light take-up, then it stops. Then, at about 1.5 to 2 pounds, with no creep at all, it breaks like a glass rod! And it still breaks exactly the same way a couple thousand shots later! I own 15 firearms and 4 airguns, and this is the best trigger of any of them. All around this rifle is well worth the money.
