I bought this gun 2 weeks ago and have to date have neutralized 25 squirrels with minimal effort with my benjamin trail. My old remington had issues with delivering an incapacitating or killing shot. Not so with the Trail. Its powerful and devastating to small rodents. The scope is clear and easy to use ;and in conjunction wiht this commanding weapon capable of taking squirrels out with every well placed shot. I have to mention now that the trigger is very poor quality which is my only caveat with the gun and would give the gun 5 stars otherwise. I recommend using heavy pellets, you'll achieve much better accuracy and better results hunting.

I am an accomplished outdoors person and know what to look for in equipment. For a while i have had a persistent problem with squirrels pillaging my 8 avocado trees i have on the property. Ussually around this time of year i d be harvesting avocadoes and selling the rest for reasonable income. But with the lots around mind becoming overgrown squirrels have decimated my crop when my remington vantage .1777 became inoperable.

MADE IN CHINA. Good metalwork, except trigger. The trigger really hadicaps this rifle. Long heavy pull, almost 1/2" on my gun. You cannot tell when it will go off. I would call the trigger dangerous and or defective. Benjamin should have to offer replacements for this garbage part. My chronograph reports a little over 700 fps with Benjamin Premier .22 hollowpoints (14.3gr average), nowhere near the advertised velocity. I am ordering a GRT-III replacement trigger from Rober Werner. After it is installed I will comment on the accuracy potential. I do like the included scope. Good clear optics.

Comments about Crosman® Benjamin Trail NP .22-cal All Weather Air Rifle:

I was so confused buying this gun. I couldn't make up my mind. I almost bought something else, but bought the Benjamin anyway. I'm so very glad I did!! This is one sweet gun. Trust me, it is very accurate. I bought it over the weekend, and I've already got it sighted in dead on! It's no longer a virgin because I've already smoked my first victim, a starling. Don't go through all of the worry like I did, just buy one, and you'll be glad you did.

Comments about Crosman® Benjamin Trail NP .22-cal All Weather Air Rifle:

This gun is amazing. after 50 shots I was 5/5 hitting pennies at 50 yards. Remember these tips for accuracy. Scope mounted good, clean barrel, and most of all artillery hold. This gun has way less recoil and noise than a Gamo Varmint hunter HP. Also way better trigger, and more accurate than the Gamo Varmint HP I tested. I am excited to try this gun at 50 yards. Again its so quite and accurate when the scope, ammo, and hold are all figured out. I am going to upgrade the trigger, even though I can hit a penny every time at 20 yards, I can for see better accuracy with a quality trigger.

Comments about Crosman® Benjamin Trail NP .22-cal All Weather Air Rifle:

This is actually a Benjamin NP Trail All Weather Rifle. Crosman is the parent company that purchased the Benjamin/Sheridan company several years ago. The stock is solid and this rifle incorporates the gas-ram technology found in rifles costing up to five times as much. It comes with a nice scope and padded sling. The finish is good for a field type rifle. Charlie Da Tuna has the GRT-III drop in trigger that will fix the only real con...The trigger is really bad. Other than that, you will not find a better air rifle for the price!
