Best Uses

Comments about Columbia Womens Poleta Peak Plush Jacket:

I've been wearing my jacket for a week already and really like it because it's light and comfortable. I've been wearing it when my dog and I go out for our daily walk in -12°C. -20 with windchill average (11 and 5°F) weather with a t-shirt and sweatshirt underneath and it has kept me warm. We walk fairly quick so that plays a big factor. Just starting out, I do feel a little cold - not too bad but uncomfortable enough that I wouldn't want to spend an hour like that where I'd just end up getting colder if I didn't move.
My measurements are 35-29-36, medium build. and I bought an extra-large. it fits comfortably but I find the sizing of the sleeves are a bit small. Large actually fits me better but I found the upper sleeves and shoulders to be a touch too small where when I stretched out my arms in front of me, I could feel very slight pulling - and I was only wearing a t-shirt too! To compare, I could wear up to 3 sweatshirts on my torso, but only 1 for its sleeves in the extra-large that I got so just for that, I recommend to size up!
I like that the plush is throughout the entire jacket, not just around the torso as most plushy/fury garments are. It's very soft and has a short pile. The hood is deep so I can wear my hair in a ponytail and still wear the hood comfortably. I like that the pockets are zippered, but wish that the hand ones were entirely lined in the plush material rather than just one side. I love that it's so windproof and that the material is water resistant.
The only bad things I can say about this is that it's a bit static-y so dog hair and skin cells stick to it, and that there isn't a two-way zipper.
I take off 1.5 stars for the exorbitant $C price (I only got mine to keep the tags on (last one in XL) and wait until it went on sale but decided to use it when I got a discount from a surprise scratch card).
