Manufactured from 1908 to 1948, Colt's Model 1908 Vest Pocket was marketed towards the discerning gentleman who doesn't want to sacrifice style for personal protection. Created by John M. Browning, the 1908 is only 4-1/2 inches long, making it easy to slip in a purse or the vest pocket of its namesake. The 1908 weighs a mere 13 ounces as well and is fed by a six .25 Auto round single column magazine. The pistol's fixed open iron sights are small and simple to prevent snags, but perfectly adequate for the short range fire. A standard slide-locking safety catch is included as well as a magazine safety disconnector in models produced after 1916. This 1917-manufactured pistol features rubber grips and a grip safety. Its grips, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
