Colt marketed the single-action Frontier Scout as one of the most simple, rugged, and dependable handguns ever manufactured. Built around an 1873 Model P frame, the Frontier Scout came chambered for .22 LR ammunition. At the time of its design, it was common to produce handguns in rifle calibers, allowing shooters to carry one type of ammo to stock their various firearms. This Dakota Territory 1861-1889 edition revolver features fixed sights and includes the original wooden presentation case. Its grips, metal, and bore are all in excellent condition.
