Colt 1991 Series is a direct descendant of the original Colt 1911A1. After more than 100 years, it's still the standard that everyone else imitates, but no one duplicates. The guns in Colt's Series 80 incorporate a firing pin block safety system that uses a series of internal levers and a plunger to positively block the firing pin from moving until the trigger is pressed, thus eliminating the possibility of the gun discharging if dropped onto a hard surface or struck hard. The single-action Commander Model features a carbon steel receiver and slide with double diamond rosewood grips. A beveled magazine well adds to the pistol's durability. Chambered for .45 ACP rounds with a 7 + 1 magazine capacity.
