All of the griddles for the coleman road trip grill do not allow you to shut the cover. The 2 piece ones are porcelin coated cast iron and very heavy. The full one is light weight cast aluminium with non-stick surface. The full one stops the grease from going below. The half one has holes on the sides.

I went to my local Gander Mountain and they were out of the Griddle and the sales staff at the store ordered the Griddle on line for me from the store. Since I ordered it from the store there were no shipping fees and the Griddle was setting in my driveway on the day the sales associate told me it would be there. As for the Griddle, I have found that it is so versatile. I cannot believe that I waited so long to purchase it. I have used it to cook breakfast (Breakfast Sandwiches, French toast, Pancakes, Bacon, Ham and Sausage) in addition I have used it took dinner (fish, Hibachi, Chicken) clean up is a breeze and it fits conveniently in my Road Trip Roller Storage Bag. We all know how difficult the Road Trip Grill is to clean well the Griddle eliminates that problem. I would highly recommend that if you have a Road Trip Grill then the Griddle is a must have accessory.

only one griddle to clean and easy also
when cooking DO NOT close the cover to keeep rain or anything else or simmering cover kick's the grille over and can fall off the unit needs to be reconfigured for cover

We bought the Coleman travel grill for camping and other outdoor activities-we needed more cooking space for all of the items that were being prepared at the same time and this grill accessory works out to be just perfect. It is easy to clean and the grill heats at a nice even temperature-WE LOVE IT!!!!
