Comments about Cobra The Edge Planing and Stabilizer Plate, aluminum alloy, black:
Remove your prop first, then install this. It's amazing how well it works. I have a 75 hp Mercury on an alumacraft. It used to take 3-5 seconds to get on plane. Now it takes less than 1 second. It's really helpful for pulling tubers or waterskiers. Takes off fast now! I should have ordered one last year like I was thinking of doing. It's well worth the [$].

Comments about Cobra The Edge Planing and Stabilizer Plate, aluminum alloy, black:
This product worked great after I cut out the center more to fix my xs 300. It gives me a great hole shot. I could not seem to keep the nose down when I had people in the back seat due to running a high pitch prop. I guess most would not install this on a boat that runs over a 100mph but I would do it again tomorrow.

Comments about Cobra The Edge Planing and Stabilizer Plate, aluminum alloy, black:
Easy to install; about 20 min. I was amazed the difference this thing made on my hole shots. I have a 21 foot Nautic Star deck boat with a Yamaha 115 outboard and it now jumps out of the water.
Ive seen reviews about increased speed... I didnt see that but I did see an increase in fuel usage. Worth every penny.

Comments about Cobra The Edge Planing and Stabilizer Plate, aluminum alloy, black:
I installed ther Edge on a Volvo SX outdrive and it planes the boat great. It mounts under the cavatation plate and puts less stress on it. Other hydrofoils are not designed for the SX drive.

Comments about Cobra The Edge Planing and Stabilizer Plate, aluminum alloy, black:
not only does this piece bring you up on a plane much faster, but because of its rigidity it saved my lower unit when i hit a log in our local lake...granted the piece was TOTALLY destroyed, my prop was saved, my lower was saved, no bearing damage... none of those plastic pieces of junk couldve saved my boat, i believe they wouldve simply pushed to the side and destoyed the rest..I will be buying another
