We have a SunTracker Party Hut and so far, no anchor we have used was enough to keep us securely in one spot. We recently anchored in an area where there was a fairly strong breeze and didn't think we would be able to stay put for long. We usually have to anchor but keep an eye on where we are, pull anchor and move away from shore periodically. We were able to enjoy ourselves for a couple of hours, never did have to pull anchor and relocate... we stayed put.

received broken due to the packaging from overtons...after having to get strern with the rep they sent me a new one....the packaging was really bad on this as well, but the anchor was intact......used it during a storm with high winds & currents....held our 21 footer firm...the vinal coating is not real good....bubbled up & alreading rusting under it...I have seen ones at a marina...cost about the same...quality much better....find one of this design elsewhere is my suggestion.

Comments about Overton's Coated 18-lb. River Anchor:
Use this in a small deep lake for a 19' ski nautique- it's perfect for this size boat.

- Gunkholing
Comments about Overton's Coated 18-lb. River Anchor:
I wanted a significant anchor for gunkholing rather than using my unwieldy Fluke-Style anchor. In the lake coves, it easily holds my 20' Hurricane, where a 10 pound mushroom didn't cut it. This coated anchor is perfect.

Arrived marred. I know it's just an anchor, but the consumer should be the
first to mark it up.

Comments about Overton's Coated 18-lb. River Anchor:
We got this for our 24' pontoon and another one for our Mastercraft. They work well at securing our boats at the lake when we want to sit and relax.

We had lost an anchor like this when someone cut our anchor rope by driving over it and it is an awesome anchor so we were thrilled to find one like it.

Will this anchor hold a 21 foot jet boat? At the colorado river?Asked on 6/2/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This anchor is recommended for boats up to 20ft, but is really designed for use in mud-bottom lakes and rivers without strong currents. You may want to consider moving to the 18lb Richter anchor (item 76821). This anchor is more aggressive and has better holding power in rivers with more current.Answered on 6/5/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
