In all my years of running outdoors in winter, I never found a glove or mitt that could keep my fingers toasty until the Clam IceArmor Mitts.                 Use these for my outdoor use and they are very warm. and outer shell is water resistant.
                I use them primarily for snow removal. In -2F using an old snowblower for a few hrs. hands never got cold and no I don't have heated grips.

                I'd like to give these 5 stars but one seam inside the glove is parting a little, but they do keep your hands dang warm. And the outter shell is really durable.

                            I don't know what specifically a snowmobile mitten is but these would fit the bill if you are looking for warmth and protection over a long period of time in extreme weather! My average daily run is 2.5 hours and my hands are warm from beginning to end.
