Designed by John M. Browning to replace the Model 1873, the 1892 Winchester rifle became one of the most popular lever actions of all time. It was based on his Model 1886, but reduced in size and chambered for the popular short cartridges used in the Winchester 1873. Simplification of the elevator and feeding system gave the 1892 a much smoother action than previous models. These Armi Sport 1892 rifles are great for the Cowboy Action competitor or for the outdoorsman who needs something light, handy, and powerful. The most attention has been put on the internal parts, CNC-machined from solid steel, all interchangeable with each other, and screw-threaded in inches. In addition, all are parts are highly polished and hardened to allow the smoothest action. This rifle features adjustble buckhorn sights and a case-hardened receiver. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
