Comments about Charter Arms Bulldog Handgun:

Picked this up for a conceal carry gun. I am a S&W .44 Magnum revolver guy, so I wanted a gun that would have some ammunition compatibility that Would be concealable. I use a Galco IWB holster and have had no issues. It shoots very well with surprisingly little recoil (although to be fair I do regularly shoot .44 Magnum, so compared to that almost anything has light recoil). Shot solid groups at 10 yards. Only thing I would mention is that there is very little room between the cylinder and the grips, so speed loaders are a little tricky to use, you have to line up just right and release the shells farther "out" than you normally would.

Comments about Charter Arms Bulldog Handgun:

This was my service revolver many years ago when I worked private security.
It's small frame makes it look more like a .357, but that enormous muzzle is unmistakable and WILL get the bad guys attention.
It is a compact, reliable, easy handling weapon with plenty of stopping power.
I consider this an excellent home defense weapon. You just can't beat this beast close-in.
It served me well as a service revolver: It saved my life vs a 9mm late one night.
I bought mine used in 1995, and though I now carry a S&W .40, I still have my Bulldog at home. It has never given me a problem.
Though my wife, a rather small woman, was a bit nervous about shooting a large caliber, she enjoys shooting this one, often carrying it as her CHL weapon.
If it has any drawbacks (aside from being a 5-shot) it's got to be that god-awful muzzle flash, which will really mess you up at night. This is also a short barrel, so be prepared for the recoil, but you'll get used to it with practice.
Also, don't expect to hear the sergeant asking you what the hell happened after you've busted a couple of caps. This thing is LOUD...but that can also be a psychological advantage.

Comments about Charter Arms Bulldog Handgun:

For an everyday carry,I like it better than my $1200 S&W Scandium frame Crimson Trace .357

There is just enough weight to tame the .44 special cartridge but carries extremely well.
