In partnership with Romanian manufacturer Cugir, Century Arms has combined the battle-proven AK-47 design with new parts to create the Mini Draco, a hard-hitting, smooth-handling, and rugged semi-automatic pistol. At the heart of the design is the Kalashnikov long-stroke gas piston system. Along with its generous clearance between moving parts and tapered cartridge case, the gun has been engineered to endure large amounts of fouling and brutal punishment while continuing to cycle consistently and reliably. Two horizontally opposed lugs on the bolt body lock up in corresponding locking recesses in a barrel block that is housed in the stamped steel receiver. The beautifully stained and wide contoured forend is joined by an ergonomic pistol grip. The Draco's stamped steel receiver has a black finish that offers enhanced protection against rust and corrosion as well as increased resistance to wear caused by moving parts. The barrel is chrome-lined for durability and capped with an A2-style birdcage flash hider. The rear sight elevates for pinpoint adjustments.
