Great pants! But!

By Tgrab

Comments about Carhartt Sandstone Waist Overall/Quilt Lined:

Great pair of pants! I am a field construction Boilermaker. Which means I need work clothes that can hold up to some tough working conditions! I have been working on the shore of Lake Michigan this winter and I needed a warm pair of pants. 6 degrees with a wind chill of -6 degrees and my legs where toasty warm all day! I bought them 2 sizes bigger because I wear them over my jeans. Perfect height so they don't drag on the ground. Very comfortable when moving around. But the only problem I had was just after 3 days of wearing them the zipper on the left leg broke! I didn't have the time to send them back to Carhartt so I had a more heavy duty zipper put on them. Also I wish the side pockets on both side were a little deeper to better hold wrench's,welding rod and other tools. But I must say I do like the loops that are on both sides of the pants! There the right size for installing a carabiner to hold my stryker.

Great Riding Pants

By MrsChan

from Toronto, Canada

Comments about Carhartt Sandstone Waist Overall/Quilt Lined:

My husband asked for insulated jeans for Xmas, so he can ride his scooter to work in the cold winter in Canada. After brief google search I decided these pants were the best looking pair. After receiving them, I was pleasantly surprised, not only did they look exactly as pictured, but they were pretty thick and well made. Exactly what I would buy for my husband if I were to pick these at a store. He's been wearing them to ride the bike (no long johns necessary) and he says they are warm enough. Although apparently it gets drafty and cold around the ankles if you don't wear boots. Below are his additional comments: "I love the little cellphone pocket low down, so if you have a long coat, you can still get at it. I wore them today on the bike and they felt warm, and they don’t get hot in the office for whatever reason. They’re pretty windproof, but not totally. The unusual styling is cool too, with the extra fabric just tacked on top on the front of the leg, and all the little rivets. Only downside is that you feel a bit like you’re walking in ski pants, but that’s to be expected. I haven’t used the zippers yet â€" I’m guessing these are made for skiing or snowboarding, cuz you can zip it up all the way to the top pockets

i would be lost without them!

Comments about Carhartt Sandstone Waist Overall/Quilt Lined:

love these pants! i perform golf course maintenance and am outside alll day, every day. the area i reside in may have temperatures in the teens in the a.m., but may reach the 60's by the afternoon. these pants allow the flexibility to layer up, but not have to completly disrobe when temps rise. also, like most carhartt outerwear, i am impressed by their resistance to wear, tear, etc. i do not hesitate to enter thickets of briars or thorns, because you walk right through as if they were not even there. if they ever wear out, i will rush out and buy more!

I work for the department ...

By Ratton

from Williams, AZ

Comments about Carhartt Sandstone Waist Overall/Quilt Lined:

I work for the department of transportation in the high country of Arizona. The winter conditions I face are very cold, I found that your overall pants to be the best thing ever for the cold weather and rugged enough for the harsh work that me and my fellow workers do.. The men I work would also give you all thanks..
