I am a tile installer so I am on my knees all the time. Most pants wear out in the knees in about 2 weeks or so. Not these, they are very wear resistant. The material is high quality and does not easily tear. The only down side to this heavy material is it tends to hold wrinkles, but only until they are broken in. Also, I wear 32x32, all the carhartt pants I buy in the store fit exact, the ones I just bought on line were a bit longer than 32. It is easily taken up and the cut of the pants actually makes the length look good.

I would recommend these to a friend who does not get down and dirty every day. I found that yes they do get softer with washings. So soft in fact that they wear out way faster than the stiffer but more rugged regular black and tan duck dungarees. I found out real fast that the material wears right through where my thighs rub together. Makes for a big embarassing hole on the inside of my thighs. Great for the weekend warrior, not for the daily worker bee.

Extremely comfortable for the large man

By Nonickname

Comments about Carhartt Mens Double-Front Washed Duck Work Dungaree:

These have a high waist and full seat and thighs. Easy movement. Indestructible material. Super useful BIG pockets. They also have nine belt loops in the larger sizes, which helps keep everything in place with suspenders without over tightening my belt. Second pair. My wife likes the way they look on me, if that matters. Wore these on Alaska contract two years ago. Put knee pads in knee pockets for kneeling on ice and cold metal. Helped a lot. Took pads out when I came back to the world. Trousers still look as good as the day I bought them despite rough and constant use. Buying second pair just to have a different color.

Comments about Carhartt Mens Double-Front Washed Duck Work Dungaree:

I love how these pants fit. Plenty of room to move around in. They dont bind or pinch like most pants do. They are very rugged and I hope to get plenty of use out of them. I bought 2 pair and might go get 2 more. My wife gives me compliments on them all the time.

Double Front Dungaree

By FarmerJ

Comments about Carhartt Mens Double-Front Washed Duck Work Dungaree:

I find these pants to be excellent quality. They do seem to have gotten a little less durable over the last 5 years, but I imagine cotton is getting less durable itself, being grown over and over on depleted soil. These pants last me 1 full year of farming, gardening, landscaping, and casual wearage. I particularly like the faded look after a few months, and only wish they lasted longer in that state. These are the only pants I wear nowadays whether I'm out in the fields or giving a keynote. Gotta love your Carhartts.

Tough and Rugged Pants

By ToughEnough

from Undisclosed

Comments about Carhartt Mens Double-Front Washed Duck Work Dungaree:

I do remodeling work, and these pants (B136) are the toughest I've found. They hold up wash after wash and keep on going even after adding patches! Very comfortable fit. Hammer loops and tool pockets get used daily. They may feel a little stiff when new, but soften up more as they are washed.

Durability, Sustainability, and Customer Loyalty

By Ridgewood

from Ridgewood, New York

Comments about Carhartt Mens Double-Front Washed Duck Work Dungaree:

As a veteran of the Corps and a myriad manual labor jobs, and one who has seen various workwear fade and fall into disrepair, I would very honestly characterize these pants as one of the better investments in my life. Second, maybe, to my wife. I have two pair (of Carhartt pants) and wear them constantly (perhaps to a fault). The double and triple stitching holds up. I have ended up eventually patching the knees and/or the crotch of most of my other trousers (often pants of greater price, and -now- very apparent, lesser value). Not my Carhartts. These pants are reliable. Carhartt definitely earned a loyal customer with these. I don't care if you are chipping concrete, hauling gravel, forking pallets into cans, standing helm watch, or installing landscapes . . . buy a few pairs of these freakin' pants.
