Comments about Camp Chef Triton Hot Water Heater:

We took this heater to a two week camping event. We had 12 people using it every day. Its easy to set up and easy to use! Simply hook it up to your water and propane, put in the batteries for the auto start, and away you go! The shower head has an off setting so as soon as you switch it on to a running setting the heater turns right on! Then we you switch off the water at the shower head it turns right off. No need to mess with starters or turning on and off propane every time! We also had it hooked up to our camp sink so we had on demand hot water to wash dishes with. It was THE BEST! Worth every penny we paid for it.
The only thing to be aware of is it has a very sensitive auto shut off, until we had it staked down just right if we got a good gust of wind it would rock the unit just enough to shut off. However just turn the water at the shower head off then back on and tada you are back in business.
I do recommend waiting for them to go on sale. Although it was worth every penny, it does get a little cheaper certain times of the year!

Comments about Camp Chef Triton Hot Water Heater:

Easy to set up and start up. Easy to drain to store. The unit is sturdy when it is hung up. The stand is not sturdy.
I install a piece of window screen above the burner vent to keep small items out of the burner like pine needles.

Comments about Camp Chef Triton Hot Water Heater:

This shower is better than I expected and extemely reliable. Just as good as a home shower with adjustable water pressure and water heat tempurature. Can be mounted on a wall, tree, or use the included ground stand. Uses very little propane for the amount of water it sprays. Three adjustments on the showerhead. Great customer support when I broke the shower nozzle.

This is for outdoor use only and should not be used in any type of enclosure that will trap the exhaust gas.

              • A:

No, you would need to have a tank and water pump if yo did not have a constant water supply. Its just a smaller version of the home instant hot water heater. There are other type of hot water heaters that do not Hose.
