Comments about Camp Chef Mountain Man Grill, MMGRILL:

This is a great grill. I'm not sure why the other reviews are so negative, with proper use this is a very versatile grill. I picked it up from Gander Mountain on our way to our campground where we have a travel trailer. I used it that night and throughout the weekend making breakfast, lunch, and supper. Grilled kabobs and chicken on the grill surface, eggs, bacon, sausage, fired potatoes, hotdogs, and burgers on the grill surface. I even preheated the charcoal pan and positioned it over the griddle to cook homemade pizza. All of this over a wood campfire. I suggest you use a level to plumb the stake as you pound it it (about 8" for me held fine), and pound in small shims in the dirt around the stake to get it fully plumb. Then use the level on each of grill, griddle, and tray. Bend each device down to level downward or flip it upside down and with a little downward force to bed it 'up'. My only complain is the nut/stud was welded a little crooked which means the stake is bent when the two halves are screwed together. This isn't a real problem as the straight part sticks above my fire ring anyway. Gander has a very fair price on this and is comparable to the mega online retailer (read additional useful reviews on their site). Don't hesitate to buy this if you want a great product and a good price!

cheap product

Comments about Camp Chef Mountain Man Grill, MMGRILL:

Very cheap material. Only used once and the stake can no longer be screwed together making it useless. The metal becomes warped with heat very quickly. Waste of money.

We have a campsite where we live for 5 months of the year. We have only used the mountain man grill 5 times, and the charcoal pan is severely warped! After a couple of more uses, and the warping continues....the charcoal will roll of the pan making it useless!! What a waste of $100+ !!!!
