caldwell The Caldwell Lead Sled Recoil-Eliminating Shooting Rest is designed to reduce the recoil from your gun by up to 90%. The sled is designed for all calibers but is especially effective with medium- to large-caliber rifles and shotguns. This user-friendly, portable design includes an adjustable-height front rest and large rubber feet to keep your gun in the rest. The rest helps prevent bad shooting habits by eliminating flinching from recoil and provides faster, more precise sight-in and load development. Uses Caldwell brand Universal Front Bags. Some assembly required.

          I gave this to my husband as a gift. He loves precision shooting and was getting frustrated with sand bags. the first time on the range with this unit, he was shooting 5 shot groups in a 1/2 inch circle. he loves it !!!! Recoil was virtualy gone. only improvment would be if it had clamps to lock it to the bench.... but thats an easy fix using "C" clamps or vise grips.

                        you can purchase lead shot from gander mountain as well. But i suggest talking to your local shooting range they often have lead for sale from the bullet traps.
