It holds the gun so steady it makes it easy to sight the gun in. After using this to sight my gun in I know if I miss whatever i'm shooting at it wasn't the guns fault. I used it to shoot my remington 760 30.06 pump yesterday and the was the first I have used it and loved it!

Comments about Caldwell Lead Sled Plus Recoil Reducing Shooting Rest:
Using shot or sand bags seems to work the best rather than weights. The fact that you can adjust the amount of weight you are using to the recoil of the gun that you are shooting with weighted bags. Just as an example lets you are sighting in a .270 not much weight is needed maybe 25lbs, then lets say you are sighting in my 8MM Mag if you do not want to feel the recoil then extra weight would be needed say 75lbs or even 100lbs.

Comments about Caldwell Lead Sled Plus Recoil Reducing Shooting Rest:
Although it is heavy, it needs to be heavy. You will definitely want to use additional weights to reduce recoil and stabalize the platform. The barbell weight platform is convenient.

Comments about Caldwell Lead Sled Plus Recoil Reducing Shooting Rest:
Awesome rest. With 1x 25lb plate, it is very sturdy and makes sighting in guns very easy. If you can find this rest under $100, then it is a very great buy. Gives you much more confidence in your sight than if you used a hay bale and shooting bags or a shooting stick. Takes the human error variable out of the equation...
