Product Description
cva Our recently redesigned Wolf has all the features that made the original Wolf the number one selling muzzleloader in the world, plus even more. Still lightweight and easy to maneuver, the new Wolf offers a 100% ambidextrous stock and features CVA's new QRBP (Quick-Release Breech Plug), the only truly tool-free removal breech plug on the market today. Even after 20 or more shots, the QRBP comes out with just a twist of the fingers. Plus, the break-action breech opens easily with just a touch of the breeching button in the front of the trigger guard. The Wolf's compact and quick-pointing barrel is made of blued steel and is set up with a DuraSight Dead-On one-piece scope mount. The Wolf: a lot of gun, but not a lot of money. Blued/black finish.

Comments about CVA Wolf .50 Rifle with Scope and Case:

I was skeptical but now I challenge you to find a better value at this price. Out of the box mine was 6" low and 3" left at 50yds. Remember to double the # of scope clicks at 50yds, it'll save you a few shots. I like the molded loops for sling swivels but they're too large to accept standard sling hardware. I solved this problem with 2 large split rings at the stock and forearm. Small key chain rings work just as well. Also, invest in the CVA Lifetime ramrod because the stock rod is a little short for the range and cleaning. The Konus scope is adequate and is holding zero after 6 hunts and 2 deer but time will tell a better story on the scope. I love mine and buying a second for my son. We're shooting 2" groups at 100yds with 100gr of White Hot pellets and 245gr aero tip powerbelts. This load performed well on deer at 45 and 80 yards. Have not tried other loads but with little spare time 2" at 100yds is good enough for me. Go ahead and spend double if you want too on a comparable muzzleloader but you won't get a better gun. Bottom line-THIS DOG HUNTS!!
