The Bushnell Sport 600 is a no frills, simple, effective rangefinder. The unit is VERY small and lightweight. To use the rangefinder, you press the button to power on the unit. Next, you point the rangefinder at the object to be ranged, put the "dot" on the object, and press the button again. Done. There are no unnecessary settings or options. Speaking for myself, I would NEVER use any of those additional features, and I see little value in the functionality provided in angle-compensating rangefinders.
My only complaint is that the rangefinder's lens is dark. The lens is not clear so in dim lighting, it may be difficult to see the "dot" or the yardage presented on the screen. Also, because the rangefinder is small, and its objective lens is small (and dark), this unit really cannot be used effectively in place of binoculars for archery hunting, for example. I was hoping that it might serve as a monocular, but this is not realistic. I am not certain if other rangefinders would serve better for this purpose.
I DID compare this unit to the affordable, simple, Simmons rangefinder. I DID like the Simmons when I tested it in the store, but I selected the Bushnell because I wanted the free pair of binoculars and because a rebate was available at the time. If the free binocular deal and rebate was not available, I would look more closely at the Simmons before making my final decision.
Regarding the free 10x42 Bushnell Binoculars --- they are not expensive, super-high quality binoculars. For my needs, and my budget, they serve me well for archery hunting on the edge of a field. I DO notice that when I focus on an object, the center of the image is clear but the outer edge of the image becomes slightly blurry. You get what you pay for, and in this case, I would not have ever spent $200 to $500+ on a high quality pair of optics, so these binoculars should serve me well.

Comments about Bushnell® Sport® 600 Laser Rangefinder with FREE Binocular:
This was purchased to use deer hunting. It's compact, accurate and light weight. It was a bonus for the binoculars which are also compact. The binoculars are crisp and sharp and really bring in objects a couple of hundered yards out. This is a very good buy.

Comments about Bushnell® Sport® 600 Laser Rangefinder with FREE Binocular:
I have used the rangefinder and binoculars bow hunting and the reponce time of the rangefinder is very fast at shorter ranges. But after about 250 yards the time it takes to get a reading increaces drasticaly. The binoculars are a good bargin. They are nothing special but i have never help a pair of binoculars and thought wow they are great! They do what they are suppose to do and thats good enough for me.

They are Bushnell so have to be good. I checked the binoculars and they are good, the set is a Christmas present so my son hasn't used them yet.
