Product Description
bushmaster Bushmaster now offers their M4 with features that make it legal for sale in states were restrictions to the assault weapons ban of 1994 are still in place. In Bushmaster's Post Ban M4 Carbine, a 14.5" M4 type barrel with a permanently attached Izzy brake yields a 16" overall, BATF legal barrel. The buttstock is a lightweight tele-style unit, but it is not collapsible in order to conform with those regulations. In addition, the magazine capacity is limited to 10 Rounds, and the bayonet lug is milled off. Despite these changes, the "Post Ban" Carbine still a high-quality Bushmaster M4. The rifle's light forged aircraft aluminum receiver has a hard anodized finish and the barrel finish is mil. spec. manganese phosphate for protection against corrosion and rust. The A3-style upper receiver includes a Picatinny rail for unlimited sight, scope, or optics mounting and a removable A3 carry handle. The rifle's front sight is an AR-type base with a square post and its rear sight is an A2 dual aperture type. Both are adjustable for windage and elevation. Carbine-length handguards have internal aluminum shields to protect against heat build-up in rapid fire sequences. Shipped in a lockable hard case with an operation and safety manual, a 10-round magazine and a black web sling. New York & Maryland compliant. Check state and local regulations before purchasing.
