This little lite weight filly can kick as hard as her big brothers. After about 700 rounds I've had no FTE's or any other issues. Plus, you can run with it like it isn't there. Don't be afraid of the carbon, it doesn't build up burrs due to sand and dirt. It's pretty much self lubricating and needs no maintenance. That does not mean you don't clean. One caution: I would not suggest free floating because.. (1) The barrel nut is not standard threads. (2)If you can hit a paper plate at 500 meters with this weapon like I have, why would you want to ?? I'm holding 2" groups at 200 with it. Buy it, shoot it, clean it and have some fun. Hope this helps. - Semper Fi

Bought it a month ago and left it in the safe for a couple weeks due to work schedule and last week i mount the red dot and notice there was a loose piece in side the AR. Took it apart and the buffer retainer was making the nose and the spring where under the hammer. The buffer tube wasn't place far enough to hold the retainer. After that i took it to the range and fire 100 5.56 round and work fine. The AR wasn't defective. I just got one of those AR that was made on a Friday night.

Great gun for a good price considering the circumstances. Gander Mountain's customer service couldn't have been better. Very helpful and they found an FFL for me to ship to right away. Lifetime customer from now on. Thanks!

Q:
Is this firearm chambered for the 5.56 or .223? I know that either one can be fired, but because of the higher case pressures of the 5.56, it is not safe to fire them in a gun originally chambered for the .223.Asked on 6/28/2012 by Esquire from Asheboro, NC0 answers

Check with your local hunting laws. Some areas only allow certain ammo to hunt certain game as well as magazine sizeAnswered on 12/5/2012 by mike from ny
Q:
does this weapon have the standard iron sights on it or is it just the red dot sight? Also, are the foregrips/rails picatinny style?Asked on 5/23/2012 by Anonymous5 answers
A:
It only comes with the red dot. Mil spec 1913 picitinny rail on top & none on the for grip. I changed the grip to a Magpull with picitinny rail and added flip up rear & front sights. The red dot is a PO junk but good enough for the range. Figure on getting a better on eventually but it's fun for plinking with that hard to find expensive ammo. START RELOADING!Answered on 4/21/2013 by Life Shooter from Alexandria VAA:
Does not come with iorn sights but red dot can be removed.
It has top rails with standard round front foregrips.Answered on 4/3/2013 by tjay from moA:
No, the foregrips are not picatinny style. The foregrips are old school military style...no ability to mount anything to the foregrip.Answered on 3/19/2013 by Nancy the Newbie from Spring, TXA:
This model is flat top receiver with picatinny rail and comes with the dot sight, no iron sights front or rear. The handguards are standard shape, no rails.Answered on 1/16/2013 by J from Toney, ALA:
just the red dot, it has no sightsAnswered on 10/6/2012 by Patrick from Albany, OR
