Product Description
browning The name Browning is synonymous with no-nonsense, high-performance autoloaders with superb finish and unmatched handling and with an easily recognizable semi-humpbacked receiver silhouette, Browning's Silver shotguns perfectly honor that historic legacy. Sharing the same proven Active Valve gas operation as the Gold, the Silver is one of the softest recoiling and easiest shooting guns available today, delivering up to a 50% decrease in felt recoil over the competition. The Active Valve also makes the Silver one of the most versatile and reliable shotguns around, able to fire a wide range of factory loads under the most extreme conditions. Back-Bored Barrel Technology ensures your shot patterns are tight, dense, even and consistent, and provides an additional reduction in felt recoil.

        Comments about Browning® Silver Hunter Shotgun:

        This shotgun is arguably the best value in gas-operated autoloading shotguns on the market. Excellent quality and craftsmanship (made in Portugal). Nice piece of satin finished Turkish Walnut, well-done barrel bluing, and eye-catching silver receiver with bold engraving. Slightly heavier than my Maxus, but so well-balanced, especially for a 28" barreled 12 ga. shotgun with an aluminum receiver, that you don't feel the extra few ounces. An easy carry on bird hunts, quick to mount, and bead points right where it should. Has worked since day one when fed the owners manual recommended 1 oz. and heavier lead AND steel shot loads. Piece of cake to disassemble/reassemble and clean. Take good care of it, it will take good care of you.

          Comments about Browning® Silver Hunter Shotgun:

          I have had this shotgun for about 18 months. Zero problems with roughly 1500 shells put through it, including use in below freezing temperatures. Well balanced, excellent quality and easy to clean. It is a gas gun, so if you are lazy when it comes to cleaning don't get this type of shotgun and go for a pump or recoil. If you are comfortable with basic cleaning this will be a gun that stays with you for life. Very soft on recoil, good looking and a joy to shoot. Not one complaint to add.

          Another A++ From Browning

              Comments about Browning® Silver Hunter Shotgun:

              As with any item I'm buying that has an ample price, I took some time and researched the Browning Silver Hunter shotgun. All the good things that pro reviewers said about the Silver Hunter are true.
              This is a very versatile gun with a solid look and feel. The recoil with lighter target loads wont bruise the shoulder, so it makes an afternoon of clays fun. Even with the heavier turkey type loads, the recoil is manage-ably noticeable, but I like the feel of a solid recoil anyway.
              It easily strips apart for proper cleaning and as long as you oil it a little, it doesn't jam up.
              If fully loaded (3 in the magazine and 1 in the pipe with 3 inchers) it can get a little heavy carrying it in the field.
              All in all, its a great gun worthy of handing down to future generations.
