Browning billed the Recoilless as "the first and only shotgun design that actually eleminates recoil," making it comfortable and enjoying to shoot all day. The Recoilless' design consists of an inner mechanism composted of an inner receiver, bolt, striker system, and barrel. The inner mechanism is driven forward, inside of an outer receiver by a drive spring when the firing mechanism is cocked and released, an action which requires the large portion of the shotgun's recoil force. After firing, the inner mechanism recoils to the rear while compressing the drive spring until it strikes the buffer in the inner receiver, absorbing the additional recoil. Because the Recoilless is designed as a trap gun, there is no manual safety. This shotgun features a high post ventilated rib, front and rear bead sights, and an adjustable recoil pad and comes with a set of five screw-in choke tubes (F/M/C/IC/Sk) and the original factory box. Its wood and metal are in good condition and its bore is in very good condition.
