Product Description
browning The Browning 10-Shot Double Helix T-Bolt Magazine is easy to load, easy to carry and easy to use. The magazine features a torsion drive spring and interlocking gears to maintain proper timing and exact cartridge alignment for smooth, reliable feeding. The spring-assisted drop-free ejection feature allows for rapid magazine changes, while the smooth, rounded contours of the double helix with twin gripping grooves, tapered shape and slightly extended baseplate make insertion positive. A gray translucent body allows you to identify remaining cartridges easily. Ammunition can be removed by moving the exposed gear back slightly to drop each cartridge without using tools or scraping your fingers. Sold individually.

Comments about Browning Double Helix T-Bolt Magazine:

Photos in the instruction manual that comes with the T-Bolt rifle show a small toothed wheel or gear being used to rotate the mechanism that holds the cartridges in the Double Helix magazine. The photos give the impression that the wheel must be rotated by the thumb to load the magazine. The wheel is narrow and can be painful and difficult to use.

However, it is not necessary to use the wheel to load the magazine. The magazine can be loaded simply by pushing the cartidges into it one above the other in the same way that a box-type magazine would be loaded.

The wheel may help with the loading of the first cartridge, or in manually unloading the magazine, but cartridges 2-10 can be loaded without it.
